Introduction
This page explains what information DraftXI and Cricket Legacy collect, how it is used, and the choices you have.
Who this covers
This policy covers DraftXI (the web game at cricket-draft-11.com) and Cricket Legacy (our mobile app for Android and iOS). Both are fan-made cricket games built for fun, developed independently in India, and not affiliated with the IPL, BCCI, any franchise, player, or broadcaster.
Information we collect
Account info: signing in with Google is optional. If you do, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google and give you an account ID.
Gameplay data: your careers, teams, match results, and season history. In the web game, drafted squads and league entries (name, franchise, record, net run rate) are stored so you can see your history and compete on leaderboards.
Cloud backup (mobile app, signed-in players only): a copy of your saved careers is backed up to your account about once a day, and after a purchase, so you can restore it on a new phone. The backup also records your email address and an anonymous install ID, so support can find it.
Leaderboards and ranked play (mobile app): to put you on the leaderboard and match you against other players, the app publishes your player or team name, country, ratings, and rank, keyed to an anonymous install ID rather than your name or email.
Usage analytics and crash reports: we use Firebase Analytics to record how the games are used (for example, a match started or a shop opened), and Firebase Crashlytics to record crashes in the mobile app (device model, OS version, and what the app was doing). These are linked to an anonymous ID and, if you sign in, your account ID, never your name or email.
Advertising data (mobile app only): see "Advertising" below.
Purchase records: see "Payments" below.
On your device: the mobile app stores your saves and settings on your phone. If you play the web game without signing in, league IDs you join are kept in your browser’s local storage.
How we use your information
To save, back up, and restore your progress, and to deliver what you buy.
To run leaderboards, leagues, and ranked matches against other players.
To answer support requests, including correcting your account at your request.
To understand aggregate usage and fix crashes.
To show rewarded ads in the mobile app; see "Advertising".
We do not sell your personal information.
Advertising
Cricket Legacy shows optional rewarded ads: you choose to watch one for an in-game reward. The web game does not show ads.
Ads are served through Unity LevelPlay (ironSource) and Unity Ads. To serve and measure ads, their SDKs collect your device’s advertising identifier (the Android Advertising ID, or on iOS the Identifier for Advertisers if you allow tracking) along with technical data such as IP address, device type, and how you interact with ads. Unity’s privacy policy is at https://unity.com/legal/game-player-and-app-user-privacy-policy.
On iOS, the app asks your permission before allowing tracking. If you decline, ads still show, but they are not tailored to you, and the rewards work the same either way.
In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, and wherever we cannot tell your region, the app asks only for non-personalized ads. For users in the United States, the app tells our ad partners not to sell your personal information.
You can reset your advertising ID or limit ad personalization in your device settings at any time.
Payments
In the mobile app, purchases are processed by Google Play (and, where available, the Apple App Store). They handle your payment details; we never see them. We receive a purchase confirmation (the item, an order or token reference, and the time), check it with the store, and record it against your account ID so it is delivered exactly once.
If you buy from our website shop, payment is processed by Razorpay, which receives the details needed to take the payment (such as card, UPI or bank details, and your email). We never see or store those. We store a record of each purchase (your account ID, the item, the amount, the Razorpay order and payment IDs, and delivery status) to deliver it to the app, show your purchase history, and handle refunds.
Sharing
Leaderboard, league, and ranked-play details (your chosen name, team, country, ratings, and results) are visible to other players by design. That is how those features work.
We use these service providers, who process data on our behalf under their own privacy terms: Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Cloud Functions, Analytics, and Crashlytics) to run the games; Google Sign-In; Google Play and the Apple App Store for in-app purchases; Unity (LevelPlay, ironSource, and Unity Ads) for mobile ads; and Razorpay for website payments.
Our ad partners receive the advertising and device data described in "Advertising", never your email address or account details. We do not otherwise share your personal information with third parties.
Your choices
You can play without signing in. Your progress then stays on your device only, with no account, backup, or email involved.
You can decline tracking on iOS, and reset your advertising ID or limit ad personalization in your device settings.
Delete your account from inside the mobile app: tap your profile picture, then Delete account. This permanently deletes your account, your cloud backup, your leaderboard and ranked entries, and everything the app stored on that device. You can also log out at any time from the same menu.
To get a copy of your data, or to have it deleted without the app, email watertategaming@gmail.com from the Google account in question.
Children’s privacy
Cricket Legacy and DraftXI are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
Data retention
We keep your account and gameplay data while your account exists. When you delete your account, we delete it from our systems straight away. Published leaderboard rankings refresh within a day.
We keep purchase records after an account is deleted, because we need them for refunds, chargebacks, tax, and to prevent a purchase being redeemed twice. They hold your account ID and purchase details, not your name or email.
Advertising identifiers are controlled by your device and our ad partners; we do not store them ourselves.
